Kotuku launches into flight

Old becomes New

Re-working an old photo. I find it worthwhile looking back over my photos from a while ago re-working them. It’s interesting to just start again with the RAW file. Sometimes the result is similar but other times it can be quite different. This one of a Kotuku (White Heron) is one that is rather different. For one thing I flipped it horizontally. I read somewhere that photos of birds are better if they are looking or flying to the right of the image. I don’t know if that’s true but it looks okay so I’ve left it. I wouldn’t work if there was a landmark or geographical feature behind it because that would be flipped as well.
