Now that I’ve retired from work I expect to have more time for photography and also for how I present my photos on the website. Some people tell me that that they haven’t found it easy to find what they want when they decide to buy. When I look at the site I can see what they mean. When I first started the site I only had a smell offering so it was not hard to see it. Now with many more galleries the method of getting around hasn’t changed significantly so it has become harder. I’m working on it. One thing that I’ve already changed is a greater separation of the galleries between my general photography (landscapes, nature, people, etc.) and the photos the boats of the Grey River which has become a specialty. People often want to see just one or the other so I’m trying to make it easier to find each one. From social media I now add links to the latest boat photos or the latest general photos. Those same galleries now also make up the content on my Latest Releases page on the website menu. The photos in those two small galleries now link directly to the e-commerce store where people can buy canvases or prints.

I expect to make more changes over time. The design of the site has not changed substantially over time so I’ll be looking at that too.
